Our Story

A deli with soul in the heart of Harlem

Contento Deli Grocery sits at the crossroads of University Avenue and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard — a place where community has always gathered. We built Contento on a simple conviction: that a great deli should nourish more than just hunger.

Our counter showcases carefully sourced cured meats, artisan cheeses from small dairies, house-made spreads, and sandwiches assembled with the same care your grandmother would approve of. Beyond the counter, our grocery shelves hold pantry staples, international finds, and everyday essentials — all selected with the same intention.

Whether you're stopping in for a quick lunch, picking up ingredients for dinner, or browsing our selection of wines and spirits — you're not just a customer here. You're part of the neighborhood.
